5 February 2024Volunteers of the “Disaster Platform”, formed by many non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the earthquake region, organize the aid materials sent to Hatay Expo Fair Area by trucks and trailers from all over Turkey.
Approximately 200 volunteers working under the coordination of AFAD deliver the aid packages they prepared according to the need list to earthquake victims living in rural areas and tent cities.
Volunteers prepare aid packages by meticulously sorting the materials that arrive in approximately 15 trucks and trailers daily, and deliver aid to at least 300 families every day.
Experts also provide psychosocial support to earthquake victims.
